3M™ Caulks

A firestop caulk used to prevent the spread of fire, smoke, toxic fumes and moisture for up to four hours. Good for both joint and through-penetration applications. Re-enterable/ repairable.

3M™ Fire Barrier IC 15WB Caulk
An affordable firestop caulk that helps you stay on budget. Its unique intumescent property allows IC 15WB Caulk to effectively contain fire and smoke at its origin. Available in a variety of sizes.

IC 15WB Caulk can be installed with a standard caulking gun, pneumatic pumping equipment, a putty knife or trowel.

3M™ FireDam™ 150+ Acrylic Latex Caulk
An economical alternative to costly firestopping applications. It has been tested and approved for single metallic pipe penetrations, common electrical and communications cable penetrations, multiple penetrants through both masonry and gypsum wallboard constructions, fire rated construction joints, and in dynamic head-of-wall systems. Designed primarily for sealing penetrations for non-combustible penetrants.

3M™ Fire Barrier CS-195+ Composite Sheet

3M™ Intumescent Sheet is used to firestop large openings in fire-rated construction, created by cables and pipes. The 3M™ Fire Barrier CS-195+ Composite Sheet, in particular, is a thin one-part composite system comprised of four components used for shielding cable trays and conduit, HVAC ductwork and vital process equipment from radiant heat, flame spread and smoke. This organic/ inorganic elastomeric sheet is bonded on one side to a layer of 28-gauge galvanized steel. The other side is reinforced with steel-wire mesh and covered with aluminum foil.

The 3M™ Fire Barrier Grease Duct Access Door is the only tested and listed (OPL) door that has been fire tested in conjunction with 3M™ Fire Barrier Duct Wrap products

3M™ Fire Barrier Duct Wrap 15A, 20A
This non-asbestos fire resistance wrap is a patented inorganic blanket encapsulated with scrim-reinforced foil, which provides an alternative to 1 or 2 hour fire resistant rated shaft enclosures. Protects against both internal and external fire conditions while maintaining the structural integrity of the duct. Lightweight, flexible and easy to install. Low thermal conductivity, oil and water resistant.

Thickness choice of 1.5” (15A) and 2” (20A) for single and double wrapping in a variety of applications: commercial kitchen grease ducts, air ventilation and chemical exhaust ducts, stair pressurization ducts, hazardous exhaust ducts, trash and linen chutes.

3M™ Plenum Wraps are high temperature insulation blankets that are used as a fireproof flexible enclosure for cables and pipes in fire-rated plenums. This non-asbestos fire resistance wrap is a patented inorganic blanket encapsulated with scrim-reinforced foil.

• • Provides a flexible non-combustible enclosure for cables and pipe in return air plenums as tested to UL910/NFPA262.

3M™ Fire Barrier Silicone Sealants and Foam

A broad line of firestop sealants used to prevent the spread of fire, smoke, toxic fumes and moisture. Good for both joint and through-penetration applications. Fire ratings of up to 4 hours. Re-enterable/repairable. Moisture cured. Available in nonslump and self leveling.

3M™ silicone sealants (one-part, ready-to-use elastomers) and RTV foam (two-part, liquid-silicone elastomer) share these properties:

3M™ Fire Barrier Water Tight Silicone Sealants
3M™ Fire Barrier Water Tight Sealants are used to firestop openings and penetrations through fire rated floor slabs, walls, other building partitions and assemblies. When properly installed, they will help control the spread of fire, smoke and noxious gases. 3M™ Fire Barrier Water Tight Sealants also meets the new UL Water Leakage Test, W Rating – Class 1 requirements for systems tested and listed in accordance with ANSI/UL 1479.

3M™ Fire Barrier Mortar

3M™ Fire Barrier Mortar is a lightweight cementitious firestop with excellent adhesion, which bonds to concrete, metals, wood, plastic and cable jacketing.

3M™ Fire Barrier Pillows

The 3M™ Fire Barrier Pillow is a self-contained, highly intumescent product designed to firestop a wide variety of through-penetrations including cable trays (up to two per opening), conduit and blank openings, which penetrate fire-rated construction.

During a fire, 3M™ Fire Barrier Pillows intumesces (expands) and lock themselves into place, completely surrounding the penetrant(s), retarding the transmission of smoke, fire and toxic gases from spreading to the next room or next floor for the rated time period. They are easy to install and great for retrofit projects- simply remove and replace pillows as needed.

3M™ Fire Barrier Self-Locking Pillows
3M™ Fire Barrier Self Locking Pillows are based on the design of our 3M™ Fire Barrier Pillows. They provide all of the system coverage you have got used to plus they provide the added benefits of interlocking strips which allow them to easily be installed in floors and walls, and removed quickly when new services are added.

This product will intumesce and lock tightly into place, leaving out the prep work of cutting or leaving any messy debris. The resulting barrier retards the transmission of smoke, fire and toxic gases from spreading between adjacent rooms and floors for the rated time period.

3M™ Fire Barrier Ultra Plastic Pipe Devices
3M™ Plastic Pipe Devices are used to firestop 1.5 to 6" non-metallic pipe through penetrations. 3M™ Plastic Pipe Firestop System consists of a one piece metal collar assembly encasing 3M's heat expanding Ultra GS material, used for new and retrofit installations.

3M™ Fire Barrier Quick Pass Devices

3M™ Fire Barrier Quick Pass Device is a complete solution for preventing the spread of fire and smoke where electrical, data, communications cable or pipes penetrates floors or walls. The device is designed for high traffic areas where cables are constantly being added or removed.

Comprised of a one-piece hinged metal enclosure designed to prevent the passage of fire and smoke. This metal device has a fixed firestopping intumescent material which works in conjunction with foam smoke seals and an optional mounting bracket. It has been contractor-designed to allow for use in either retrofit or new construction applications where an "install and be done" technology is needed. It provides years of dependable through-penetration firestopping with no reapplication of additional product to maintain its rating.

The 3M™ Fire Barrier Quick Pass Device achieved up to 3 hour ratings (dependent upon system application) when tested by Underwriter Laboratories Inc. in accordance with ASTM E814 (UL1479).

3M™ Fire Barrier RC-1 Restricting Collar works in conjunction with 3M™ FS-195+ Wrap/ Strip or 3M™ Interam Ultra GS for firestopping penetrations in wall and floor ceiling assemblies. It is classified by UL for use on PVC, CPVC, ABS, PP and PB plastic pipes.

3M™ Fire Barrier Expantrol Flexible Intumescent Strip (E-FIS)
3M™ Fire Barrier E-FIS is designed to seal the air space between doors and frames, as well as for glazing fire resistant glass to help prevent the passage of smoke and flames in the event of a fire.

When exposed to heat such as a fire, the material expands to seal the gap and forms a char to deter the spread of a fire. This expansion or intumescence of the material helps prevent noxious gases, flames, or other by-products that may be produced in a fire from penetrating into adjacent areas.
